Introduction to the house

There are two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and a triple room. There is also a cot. The bathroom has a bath and a shower unit, and one of the double bedrooms has a second shower unit.

The kitchen is well equipped, and you should find everything you need for a self-catering break. We have a Rayburn in the kitchen (like an Aga but a different brand). But, there is also a modern electric cooker, which is a bit more practical and easier to use! Although we don't have a high chair, we do have two booster seats to place on the dining chairs which are a pretty good substitute.

One bedroom (a twin) is on the ground floor. There is also a toilet on the ground floor, just off the entrance hall.

The property has oil fired central heating (as well as an open fire in each of the two living rooms).

You can dry your wet walking boots and gear in the boiler room just at the side of the house (the clothes washer drier is also in the boiler room). Logs and coal are available.

Further down this page, you can see a comprehensive breakdown of the facilities available at the house.

Outside
We have parking spaces for three cars, although you should also find one or two further spaces just down the lane leading up to the house. The house is set in a quiet courtyard, the original farmyard, and we have a open patio area at the back, with lovely views of Buckden Pike, which has a built-in barbecue for your use. No smoking please
We operate a strictly no smoking policy. We would appreciate your understanding on this point.

Policy on pets
Only well behaved pets are welcome! But you must check with us about your own pets before you book. Please could pets be kept downstairs and off the armchairs and sofas.

On-line shopping
One thing we've found very useful is that Tescos will deliver to our door! You can do your shop on-line and they deliver from the Skipton branch, marvellous really. It's been such a help. www.tesco.com
